Nearly all aspects of my life are related to the world of painting.
I expressed my desire to be a painter when my first-grade elementary school teacher asked about my dream. Until now as a painting lecturer at the Indonesian Institute of Arts in Yogyakarta, I continue to actively create paintings and exhibit, both solo and joint exhibitions, both domestically and internationally.
I was born in Sukorejo, Kendal, Central Java, Indonesia, on June 21, 1973, and currently reside in Yogyakarta. My name is Deni Junaedi, known on social media as Deni Je.

I try to go further, not just painting landscapes but also making them have a different meaning.
Allegory or a metaphor through a particular story, i use as my approach.
To this end, the objects presented don’t simply capture reality but are more imaginative.
For example, in the painting “Light For the Universe,” I used a picture of a luminous book illuminating the sky and earth. This conveys the message that science can be used to better understand the universe.
The landscape objects that continually appear in my paintings are inseparable from my childhood experiences living in a rural area on the slopes of Mount Perahu. []
